Frequently Asked Questions

1. What time does the Getaway begin?

Check-in for the Getaway begins at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Getaway will conclude at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.


2. How long is the drive? 

It’s about 1.5 hours from the Boston area.

3. What is included in the all-inclusive registration?

Your registration includes meals, lodging, workshops and activities.  


4. What meals will be provided during the Getaway?

Meals include breakfast, lunch and dinner each day of the getaway and will start with Thursday's dinner through Sunday’s lunch. If you have allergies or dietary restrictions, please share those details with me. Some snacks are included, but you are welcome to bring your own. 


5. What are the sleeping arrangements for the Getaway?

Each private room has a queen bed with a full bathroom. Rooms are on 2 levels with no elevator. Please let us know your preference for 1st or 2nd floor. Shared rooms are available.


6. What activities will be available during the Getaway?

The weekend will include workshops and activities. Afternoons will have optional creative activities that may involve walking. 


7. What is NOT included in the all-inclusive rate?

  • Transportation to and from Wequassett Resort

  • Food or drink purchases, other than during stated dining times which is provided

  • Souvenirs or purchases to bring home or shipping costs

  • Mini bar purchases

  • Spa treatments

  • Resort activity fees for activities not included in getaway program

  • Additional tips or gratuities, such as for housekeeping, if you choose

8. Are there payment plans available?

9. What is the last day to register?

Sponsored registration will end September 15 or when all the 10 spots are taken. Regular Registration will be open until October 1st or until full. We intentionally designed this Getaway to provide an intimate experience, so spots are limited and are expected to fill quickly. 


10. What is the cancellation policy?

Up until August 1, 2024, 60 days prior to getaway retreat, all monies paid minus $250 are refundable should you cancel.

Up until September 1, 2024, 60 days prior, $750 of your registration fee will be retained in the event of your cancellation.

Cancellations within 30 days of departure (October 7th) are fully earned, with no refund provided.

If you are able to find a qualifying person as a replacement to fill your spot no less than 45 days before the getaway retreat, we will work with you to refund more (and possibly all) of your registration fee.

If cancellation is implemented by us, we will cheerfully refund all monies paid by you.

11. What is the minimum age for attendees?

To allow space for honest, multi-faceted dialogue we ask that participants are 18 years of age or older.  


12. Is the Getaway location wheelchair accessible?

Yes. Once registered you will be able to indicate your specific needs.


13. I have food allergies, can you accommodate my dietary restrictions?

14. Will I have cell phone reception and WiFi access?  

While we hope you unplug as much as possible during the Getaway Retreat, WiFi and cell phone services work fine at the site. However, we hope you take this great opportunity to disconnect and enjoy a break from everyday distractions. 


15. What do I need to bring to the Getaway?

  • casual, comfy clothing -- including cute pajamas, we are planning a PJ storytelling night

  • "dress up" outfit for one night

  • light jacket, sweater, scarves or wraps -- it is Fall in New England!

  • comfy shoes

  • water bottle

  • journal and pen

  • medications

  • personal toiletries

  • emergency contact card (please share this info with retreat staff when you arrive)

  • an open mind and a positive attitude


You do NOT need bed/bath linens or pillow all those are provided by the resort.

Some people are allergic to perfume, so use sparingly or not at all
